This Opera was born at the heart of the Pandemic 2020. Therefore all the recordings of this Opera has been done only by one singer, and a piano.
In 2023 Shooka and the Safarani Sisters again performed this Opera at the Museum of Fine Arts. This time, with the limited budget of post pandemic, they were able to bring a new beautiful creativity to this project.
Shooka Afshar is hoping to receive funds from donators and organizations who support women's rights and artists like herself, in order to perform her Opera, with full cast and full production.
This Opera was premiered at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA on March 18th 2021 Online.
ACT I of this Opera, portrays the labels the society and the families put on people, right from childhood. (Everywhere in the world is affected by these labels. It is universal)
ACT II of this Opera, is portraying the process of immigration to a modern country, with the expectation of not seeing discrimination anymore ... Yet, the results tell a different tale...
ACT III is calling out to women in the world, to have each other's backs and empower one another. For the only way of healing these wounds, starts within ourselves and through kindness.
